The recent collapse of 91 sewage pump stations and mains have resulted in streets of homes in Paradise Point condemned for Cat 3 Black Water (sewage) contamination. Lives have been disrupted, owners forced to move to temporary accommodation while Council contractors attempt to decontaminate…Residents have reported cases of illness on the increase.
Network failure has been increasing for several years due to poor maintenance, failure to upgrade capacity and under funding.
Gold Coast City Council denies system failure, the presence of raw sewage and legal liability!
